Associate Project Coordinator

Full-time | Contract

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate Project Coordinator with strong editorial/captioning skills to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for coordinating multiple captioning projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet our stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate will also contribute directly to captioning projects, leveraging their editorial expertise. This position requires specific availability during the following hours: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Wednesday to Friday, and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple captioning projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet client requirements and quality standards.

  • Captioning/Editorial Contribution: Actively participate in captioning projects, utilizing editorial skills to ensure accuracy, style consistency, and high-quality output.

  • Resource Allocation and Projections: Coordinate with captioners, editors, and QA personnel, allocating resources effectively and providing regular capacity projections.

  • Asset Management: Manage client assets, lead parsing efforts, and organize subtitle-related resources within our asset management system, laying the foundation for archiving.

  • Workflow Optimization: Streamline project coordination workflows to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate clear communication between teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration and managing expectations.

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to guarantee deliverables meet quality standards and client specifications.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project documentation and generate regular reports on project status and KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project coordination or a related field.

  • Excellent editorial and captioning skills, with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.  

  • Proficiency in project management software and asset management systems.  

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.

  • Must be available to work the following schedule: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Wednesday to Friday, and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the captioning/subtitling industry.

  • Familiarity with OOONA platform.

Associate Captioner, English Subtitling

Freelance | Contract

Freshers with a competent skillset will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Formatting and editing English subtitles for audio and grammatical accuracy for major Hollywood studios.

  • Formatting and editing English subtitles intended for the deaf and hard of hearing.

  • Footnoting cultural references and expressions as an aid to translators.

  • Performing audio fidelity quality checks (ensuring subtitles match the audio).

  • Localizing language and spelling for British and U.S. English releases.

  • Manipulating English files using proprietary software, including preparing scripts and running conversions between formats.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of the file.

  • Availability: This is a freelance contractor role. Your availability will be requested on a weekly/monthly basis, and we expect that the editors are available for a minimum of 15 days each month to ensure it’s a mutually beneficial relationship.

  • Work Timings: You decide.

Senior Captioner, English Subtitling

Freelance | Contract

Only captioners with a minimum of three years of work experience or those who are able to prove their expertise will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Formatting, editing, and proofreading English subtitles for audio and grammatical accuracy for major Hollywood studios.

  • Formatting, editing, and proofreading English subtitles intended for the deaf and hard of hearing.

  • Footnoting cultural references and expressions as an aid to translators.

  • Performing audio fidelity quality checks (ensuring subtitles match the audio).

  • Localizing language and spelling for British and U.S. English releases.

  • Manipulating English files using proprietary software, including preparing scripts and running conversions between formats.

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in native language and English.

  • Formatting, editing and proofreading native language subtitles for audio and grammatical accuracy for major Hollywood studios.

  • Formatting, editing and proofreading native language subtitles intended for the deaf and hard of hearing.

  • Performing audio fidelity quality checks (ensuring subtitles match the audio).

  • Ensuring timely delivery of the file.

Voice-over Artist, Dubbing Services

Freelance | Project-based

Responsibilities:

  • Required to properly synchronize lip movements, voice pitch, tone, and silence with gestures and body language of the character, so depicted on the screen.

  • Should be skilled enough to convey all emotions, through his/her voice and create perfect sync with the visuals.

  • Skilled in voice modulation.

  • Possess consistency in volume, energy, pacing, articulation, and characterization in eye-brain-mouth coordination.

  • Other necessary essentials are clarity, consistency, conversation, coordination, characterization, and convincing.
